British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell on Friday mentioned she would not testify at her trial on federal prison fees associated to her alleged abetting of the late cash supervisor Jeffrey Epstein’s sexual abuse of underage women.
“Your honor, the Government has not proved its case beyond a reasonable doubt and so there’s no reason for me to testify,” the 59-year-old Maxwell instructed the choose at her trial in Manhattan federal courtroom.
Maxwell’s protection legal professionals rested their case on Friday. Prosecutors mentioned they will not current proof or testimony to rebut the protection’s case.
